combustion on mac

I\'m wondering if anyone is using C2 for film file work? when i try to do a ram preview of a cineon half file it does not play back realtime? i\'ve been using AE for this type of work and never had playback problems can someone give me some insight into why C2 is doing this. Any help would be appreciated
