I am not sure what you mean about it being gone?
If your referring to the Combustion story - it has been added to with an interview - but all the links etc are still there ( at the end of the article). The article is not titled "Combustion 2.1 launch at MacWorld.

The Interview is with 2 key Discreet Combustion team members Peter Moxom and John Worthington.

Let Jack or I know if there are any problems.

What I believe you are asking WHY did the Cv2.1 Download DISSAPPEAR from the DISCREET DOWNLOAD website?

The ANSWER is that, unfortunatly, Discreet discovered that problems with the Cv2.1 software release. These minor problems included "install bugs," missing Help files, etc.

Therefore, Discreet has, as of 9 JAN, TEMPORARILY removed the link and halted the distribution of the Cv2.1 software.... Be assured that, once they fix these annoying little bugs, the software will be again available for FREE download to all Cv2.0 owners..............
