Discreet posts 30 FREE Combustion Training CWS Projects!

Discreet has just announced a free & unique way to help Combustion users "Jump Start" their combustion experience! Discreet has posted at their website about 30 completed combustion workspaces (CWS) that demonstrate effects, techniques and more. You can use each CWS as a learning tool to see how things are done, or, as a starting point or addition to your very Combustion effects and projects.

To use the CWS projects, you will need combustion v2 (full or demo software.) Just download and open the corresponding .cws file and be sure to also get the "How To..." PDF, which will guide you through the process of using the workspaces.

I have downloaded the setups, to get inspiration and maybe learn something...but I am confused! I can't find anything on the timeline?

A simple example is the slotmachince.cws:
Simple effect, the "u"-operator in the text layer is animated along the Y-axis. I can also see the Y-position change in Text Controls/Transform...but when I explore the timeline, I don't see anything at all?! Where's the curve?

Have I gone crazy? :-)

Hi..

I didn't see your reply until now...

But, to answer your question -- You are NOT CRAZY!
The reason you don't see the Keyframes is simple:
You were looking in the wrong place.

This workspace is a TEXT EFFECT, and the Text "Transition" is placed under the TEXT CONTROLS > TEXT > LAYOUT . . .

If you expand your timeline, look under the "U", expand to the triangle, and look under "Layout." Switch your Timeline to GRAPH mode, and you will see the Curve under the LAYOUT!
