I just want to know if I can create a garbage matte with the combustion keyer? I want to create a quick matte and then plug it in the keyer again to make the finetuning. It´s quite easy to do this in shake! I already tried it with the set matte operator but I cant´t really make it work

Hi,
Import your footage into combustion as a lyaer.
Apply a mask operator to the layer and create your garbage mask. Then reselect the layer and apply the keyer to the layer. This will key the garbage mask and its contents.

Yes I know that this way will work! But I´m a lazy bastard and in shake it so easy! so why animate a garbage mask if you can create on with a key that works? I just couldn´t figure out the way combustion can do it!

Hi FIJ!
May I'm wrong.....
- Pull your key with the tool (e.g. discreet keyer)
- go to operators -> selections -> channel selections
- in channel selections select the alpha-channel from the dropdown
- expand the selection with the expand slider
Is this what U mean?!
