:P long time no word and now Im back ;))

Im interested if anyone has some experiance with render passes for compositing in to live action.

what render passes are usual to ask of your CG team for integration of CG characters (or props) in to live action seq?

And maybe some general layering order like
from botom to top:

color pass
diffuse pass
ambient pass
reflection pass
spec pass
2nd spec pass

and masks for some of them.
alpha
z-depth
camera normal map
...

Depends on the project, and what you can get away with. Usually you can start off with just a beauty pass, and if necessary, have the diffuse, specular passes in addition. You'll most likely need an alpha channel as well. It really all depends on what the situation calls for.
