Actually, combustion does not present you a preview at 2k res, but you can work and render at 2k. I recently completed an all cg short for a friend of mine at HD/1080P. I mean, that format of HD is somewhat close to 2k, but if you combine the draft quality setting with some proxy's you can get away with rendering time. I donÂ’t recommend you to preview or render any particle animation directly from the timeline with Open-GL turned on. If needed, animate and preview the alpha channel of your particle and believe me; it saves allot of time during rendering for getting your timing and animation well. But once you have a decent animation, check the best quality setting to makes sure of any surprises. And donÂ’t forget to turn the Open-GL setting back off for final rendering.
