Hi; I'm just beginning to use DF; very impressed by its capabilities.
My first job (just for learning porpouses) was to convert a sequence of iff files (a sequence of PAL frames rendered with Maya) to an AVI (BTW, compressed with the Panasonic DV codec), making some Color Correction adjustments, too.
I liked very much the result shown in the DF's viewports; even when I play the AVI file with a windows player, I get the result I wanted. But whe I see the same file in a PAL monitor (via the GeForce 5700U's television output) the overal brigthness of the image is higher.
I've seen there's a gamma correction & a customized LUT in Preferences/View/Display Correction in DF. Which values should I use?
BTW, I'd like to put this file in a Premiere project, and burn a DVD with it. Perhaps the conversion to mpg makes the proper adjustements of gamma at the end (this way, no need to change the gamma in DF)?
Thanks in advance.
