hardware upgrade

we have a flame running on an octane 2 and i was wondering what the options were for upgrading to a faster system like onyx2 or tezro. and is it possible to just upgrade the hardware with our current software licence. if i upgrade to a tezro do i have to buy the system through a discreet retailer or can i just get any tezro from sgi or whoever and make it work with the flame software, or does it need to be specifically build for flame?
