Frames or Fields?
I am trying to chroma key 4 persons on a New York backround.
They are shot on progressive video. No problems with the key.
Now I want to move them with a dve motion from right to left as if they are
on a mooving surface.Everything jitters like hell when I render frames.
Rendering on fields does not jitter but... looks like a key.The spot
will be played both on tv & the cinema. Can someone please help?
Thanks.

two solutions
add motion blur to minimize the jitter effect
or render on fields, but smooth the edge of your key a lot...
i think the first is better...

Render in frames and use motion blur, the fields will show up ugly in cinema since it is progressive.

That depends if you are transfering to 35mm or projecing from tape.. either way you sould render interlaced

Did you apply the moving node before or after the keying node?

Did you apply the moving node before or after the keying node?
I applied the moving node on the keyed image but I also applied it on the image aswell before keying so that I could test but same effect. No matter what I do when I move my node with a frame render it is always jurky doesn't matter how much motion blur I apply! Only a field render gives me a smooth flow and clean Image. When I pause my video on the other hand the image flickers between the two fields...so what will happen when it is transferred to film?

hi,
I got problem with field too in add 3D elements into live footage. Should I render 3D elements with field before import, or I can just import the rendered images with field 1 or field 2 options.
BTW , can the image be splited into field when it's imported with field options.
