View Full Version : Changing Boot up screen on Smoke 6.5

I looked at the FAQ on the site and found the "title" file. But I am still missing someting.

I imported the title file which has the "smoke seahorse and smoke title" into AE and added my own stuff. Replacing the word smoke with our facility name. I then saved as an .sgi file and removed the extension and ftp'd it back to smoke and overwrote it.

But when I boot up the system I can see my new artwork, but overlayed on it is the original graphic or at least the word "smoke" in a grey box.

So the word "smoke" in a grey box is on top of my art work. Any idea on where this mystery overlay is occuring?

There is also a title.conform file in the /bin/res directory but that is just a large grey screen with the word "discreet" at the bottom. Overwriting that one makes no difference.

What's the trick? I realise that Autodeck/Discreet would not like to have their artwork removed but ... I like to be unique.

Any help is good.
Thanks
