Hey
I´m a Flame artist thats pretty new to unix irix and everything outside the application.
And the post house where i work has reworked our network so i have to change the ip on my flame. I tried the system manager but when i changed the ip the Flame could no longer connect to the stones. So i changed it back and the stones worked but not the network. So my question is: how do i change the ip so the Flame can acess the network and still use the stones?
I heard something abot a stone configfile i should change but i havnt found it.
Would be grateful for any help or pointers :)

cd /usr/discreet/sw/
and then
./stone+wire stop
then
./sw_config
In there above the drvies area to the left is the ip setter.
;P
set the new ip..
THEN
./stone+wire restart
also check the /usr/discreet/sw/tools directory for other items of usefulness.

Thanks for the help i found the directory although when i write ./sw_stop i get a warning saying: Not unmounting the stone+wire filesystem.
And i dont have a file called ./sw_conig just one called ./config and in that i can´t seem to find anywhere to change the ip. I got Flame 7 so maybe theres some diffrense in the file names?

you have to go to /usr/discreet/sw/cfg
there you'll find a file called sw_framestore_map
I would comment your working line out and copy it... than you'll have to enter your new address. The documentation says that the Id should be the last 3 digits from your IP but if you change that you'll not get the framesore working, I have left it the way it was restarted the system and everything worked.
You will also have to change the sw_host_map file. Same thing here with IP and don't touch Id...
I also took me 2 hours to get my inferno working again :)
