First of all, I'd like to thank everyone for their continued support and encouragement in our development of C>me...the Media & Infrastructure Management Toolset for Wiretap.
We've got lots of new tools and capability announcements for NAB this year so be sure to come check us out at booth SL3827K if you're in town. We've also got a temp website up @ http://www.creativetechnology.com/cme/index.html .
The most important announcement, of course, is that we're finally taking orders!
Thanks again!

We've been rushing to get a newer, more informative web site up. You can view the 99% finished site at http://www.creativetechnology.com/cme/index.html
Don't hesitate to call or email with more detailed questions.
Just to let you know JfM, we're currently working on finishing up our P2, XDCAM, and OneClick HD-DVD components now.

ALSO, please don't be confused by alatteri's post. Tether has absolutely nothing to do with C>me and is an entirely different product serving an entirely different purpose.

Does anybody know, how the licensing works for C>me?
Do we buy licenses for each server, or each client? Or is it a site license?

Here's how our licensing works:
You purchase one license of C>me to run on a single machine. That license will give you (5) Virtual AVI or Quicktime playback licenses as well. This (5) user limit is more a protection for your network rather than a licensing issue. It's so that your network infrastructure doesn't get bogged down with lots of people trying to access virtual clips all day long.
C>me can be run in a single user type environment or as a server of sorts. The Watch Folders feature will allow you to install C>me on a central machine and have any user on the network save media to a watch folder.
You can read more about the watch folder feature at our website in the Workflows section. The "Backroom Driven Workflow" focuses on using watch folders to completely automate the upload and download of media with C>me.

Watch Folders help C>me fit into nearly any existing workflow to simply and speed up moving media on and off of your stone disk arrays.
You can email us at info@creativetechnology.com or call us at +1.330.668.7777 M-F 9am-5pm EST if you have any more questions regarding C>me.
Both myself, and Adam Berk are active members of the C>me team and are happy to answer any of your questions on this forum as well.
Hope this helps!
