Hi at all,

i have a big problem trying to do 3d shading with a rpf file, because there is no anti-aliasing at the covered parts of the object (see attachment, the spout).

Have you got an idea how to solve it?
Coverage Channel doesn t work beacuse it covers only the border between object and background :-(

Thank you very much in advance.

I had this same problem when using ID Mattes out of 3DS Max with RPF and RLA File Formats. What is the purpose of using these for your shot. Maybe there is an easy work around if I know what you need to achieve.

i know some other ways, but i want that thing to work, because, i want to know woh to to that with rpf. i think their should be any solution, because otherwise it wouldnt make any sence to render rpfs for 3d shading. Hope there will be an idea?! Thank you :-)

I havnt done any tests yet but you may just want to look through this and see if anything stands out like changing your bit depth from 8 or something.

Extra layers of rpf's are not antialiased. They just aren't, changing bit-depth isn't going to help. I assume you're using max(teapot and all). Try using render elements and be sure to check the filtered box.
