Hello ppl,

what do you use to create the effect that something is below the skin. We have seen this effect in mummy, or at the end of matrix before agent smith explodes.

looks like 3d displacement mapping, but how it works on compositing;
i have tried a lot of technics creating animated mattes and using displacement functions and other stuff, but is not realistic as the movies.

suggestion please 8)
