NON-CRT Broadcast Monitors
Anyone out there using LCD's instead of CRT Monitors in their IFFS suites?
We're looking into different LCD monitors that can be used for accurate colour display?
Any thoughts?

Re: NON-CRT Broadcast Monitors
we're testing the same in the moment and have found some really good alternatives to Sonys HD CRTs - not much cheaper but thiner and actually better in resultion...
Cinetal are good - but they have a noisy fan (however they are working to solve this)
E-cinema system - have a 23" which we are waiting to test - I'll post my judge later on ...

What're the blacks like on those expensive LCDs?

we demo'd the E-Cinema 23".....we had problems trying to display SD.
HD looked ok, not enough contrast in the blacks.
I think it might be a good alternative to Sony HD CRT's down the road but I wouldn't recommend it just as yet.

Saw the Cinetal at NAB, and at first glance they seemed good. But, the blacks just dont have the detail of Sony CRT's. Loved the size, but I don't trust the image.
