Jean-Luc Bouchard R.I.P.

Sadly, Jean-Luc Bouchard passed away recently after a long battle with cancer. Our thoughts are with his wife and children.

Jean-Luc Bouchard is known to many people in the industry having worked at Discreet Logic, Nothing Real and at Apple in Marketing and Business Development. Expressions of support and fond memories have been flooding in, especially on Jean-Luc’s Facebook page. As Ron Brinkmann, who worked with Jean-Luc, expressed: “JL touched a lot of people in the industry.”

Richard Szalwinski commented that his thoughts are with the family, and he was “proud how people at Discreet have rallied.” Clearly a lot of people both inside and outside these high profile companies knew Jean-Luc and mourn his too-early passing.

Jean-Luc was a very loyal person who is very fondly remembered by his customers and co-workers alike. So many images and pictures have been sent to fxguide showing Jean-Luc enjoying life and responding to the teams around him. Below are just a couple of examples. From Flame to FCP, we have received emails and messages from members of all the teams he worked with – he will be missed. It is those more joyous times that everyone seems focused on. Certainly at fxguide we remember Jean-Luc fondly from our time as early Flame users, and the very positive attitude that surrounded those times.
