VES Production Summit 2011

On October 1, 2011 the Visual Effects Society will present their third Production Summit in Beverly Hills with the theme “Trending the Global Marketplace: You Are Here”. fxguide has covered the previous Production Summits (see related content links) and found them to be quality events that provide a high level discussion about issues that affect the visual effects business.

The Keynote address is by Bob Pisano – President and COO, Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), other speakers include Tom Wujec – Autodesk Fellow who will discuss “The Democratization Of Technology: What’s Happening In Other Industries And What’s Next” and Tony Wible discussing “big picture trends and economics of the film/entertainment business.” At previous events these kinds of talks have been extremely powerful and force participants to focus more on the future than our daily routine often allows time for.
