16bit fp playback

hi

we have the 2k flames on hp…can’t remember the specs. We aren’t able to playback 16bitFP 1080(25p) clips in realtime. Should we be able to with the 2k machines without having to rely on 8bit proxies?

to be honest i’ve not really used 12bitU 2k! (yeah no film work!) I’ll give it a try on monday.

we have linux flame 2009 ext1. hp 2k flame.

Hey.

If it helps any, I have a 2.5 year old linux box running 2009 ext1 and it will not playback 2k 16bit fp 25fps either. It will playback 12bit no problem.

I have just finished a job at 16bit fp. It’s nice having all the extra detail but so many of the tools still don’t work. In the end I graded the 16bit fp close to what I needed then resized the clip to 12bit.

Looking forward to full float.

ok it will play back 12bit at 2k but not 12bitU.

Rohit i dunno about the stone, i’ll check…so you are getting 2k realtime at 16bitfp?

ok im getting 16bit fp 2048×1556 playback.. forgot to disable the exposure control in the viewport..u might also wanna check that the player setup is set to play all frames

Just tried it here on a shot. I can get real time playback with the player menu on screen, but if I swipe it off I lose playback speed, even when playing back from Memory.
(9400 running 2009 Ext 1 16G memory)

yes..same here, if i swipe to full screen i lose realtime playback
