    OK… we have been playing around with Camera data from a 3d Program and then importing into a Smoke 6.5 or AE to match other layers with the 3D background render. you have seen the effect… it’s more of a motion graphics thing.

    3D = Cinema 4D
    Compositor = Discreet Smoke 6.5 or AE.

    Camera data= FBX.

    Our issues are with scale. If we have a 3D ribbon flying around and we have the camera traking the ribbon…. when we import the FBX data into AE or Smoke.. and go into a 4 way look. (top/right/front/camera) the camera is everywhere. It follows the render fine… but in order for us to place other layers and interact with the 3D ribbons we must move our layers in extreame distances in X,Y,Z.

    What is the secret with scale in achieveing a smaller 3D world so our camera data is a little more user friendly? or is it just something you get used to?

    Thanks,

    BKM
