Hey everyone. I’ve have a great 3d track going in one action node within batch. I’ve created some frames on the back wall and they’re moving nicely with the track I’ve gotten. What I need to do now is comp in the talent who passes in front of the frames. I know I can do the composite in an additional node but what I want to know is there a way to do it within the same node where the 3d tracking is going on? Because I’m using the Camera1 output, it puts my masked in talent into the 3d space. Can I do it in one Action or do I need to always feed it to another node to do the final composite? Thanks guys.

Make the live action footage a child of the camera and move it in Z (and possibly scale it if you need to keep your z-buffer on and can’t push it back without going through your other images) until the image node’s borders line up with the action’s borders. Since the image is hanging off the camera track it won’t be affected by the moving camera.

Thanks, Andy. I’ll give that a try.
