3D anaglyph movies have been around for over 10 years, and agreed its much better now and we have more control. From a little research I find we are about 10 years away of being able to watch 3D movies without glasses, so for me there’s not a great difference from over 10 years ago, you still restricted to how far away you sit, and at what angle to get the best experience, without getting a headache.
Yes I know there are different and better technologies from dolby, disney, real3d and probably more, and as i said before its much better now, and TV’s are being introduced with 3D and 3D TV channels, ….but you still have to put on glasses, ..at the cinema i can deal with, but at home!, I don’t think i could do it.
This idea came and went away 10 years ago, and this time round so much more money is being spent on it, launching TV Channels and TV sets(Sony, Samsung, Panasonic) and cameras ,….. are these people crazy!!!, this is like deja vu, … a premature dream of holographic TV. Its not even true 3D its like cardboard cut outs in 3D space
I believe Avatar would of been just as good and renowned as it is today with out the 3D experience.
Just my thoughts at the moment, I will be looking into it more to finally see what the real fuss is about, but I would like to here your views too.

I wish i could see what everybody is so excited about, but nobody cares about the people with eye problems. But, hey, let´s see the positive side too, i haven´t to spend a lot on 3d tvs, a simple “old” 50″ plasma is now so cheap 😉
