Artifex Animation Studios is looking for a matte painter. This is a contract position, beginning in late January 2011 and ending in April 2011, with a possible extension. Compensation to be discussed based on experience.

Requirements
For the candidate to be considered, he or she must fill the following requirements:
– Must be an excellent artist, with in-depth understanding of perspective, light and their effects on objects;
– Must have a strong ability to create fictional worlds as well as photo-realistic environments;
– Must be proficient with Photoshop;
– Must live in Montreal or be willing to relocate (no remote work);
– Must be Canadian or already have a valid work visa;
– Bilingual (French and English) is a big plus;
– Ability to do 3D modeling or animation is a big plus.
