mishaOctober 15, 2004 at 5:35 pm #208838AnonymousInactiveHow did the red channel get damaged?? Sounds like maybe a bad cable when the footage was digitized.

If I were you I’d ask a few questions. If it’s a simple matter of re-digitizing the footage it could save you many painful hours trying to fix the problem. If you want… send me a sample frame and I’ll have a look. You can also try Fusion-L at http://fusion.laffeycomputer.com/. It’s a very active list with a wealth of experienced and friendly users. I’m pretty sure Misha is one of them 😉
Good luck,
Eric

btw
Kristijan I’m coming to Zagreb in January for the R.E.M. concert, so maybe we can fix the r problem with a beer or two 8)
cheers

Misha shure. PM me and Ill give you my phone num.October 24, 2004 at 12:01 pm #208834AnonymousInactiveHey guys,
I am trying out to get the red channel with the green blue channels..its working quiet a good result but more fine tune has to work out.
Let me explain the steps…..But before that, I want to know the answer of my questions
a) Whether u lost all the data of redchannel
b) or Red channel has funky stuffs here and there….If its a (a) Re digitise the footage….
If its (b) just do the following stepsi) use any compositing softwares
ii) Just convert the green channel as a image
iii) try to do the color match using DF. That is , take the red channel corrupted image and take the green channel and match the colors using color match tool in fusion under color correction. Green channel will match the gray scale of corupted red channel. and use that output for the red channel.Note: Allways the green channel is the closest color to the red channel. so do the color match . Hope this solves a problem.
But if u guys give me a exact picture i can try it out.
cool

You get half way there but it would need some rotoing and…. this so low budget that we decide to drop it. So, thank you all for helping and spending time to think about it.
Kristijan 😛
