    Hello everybody!

I’m a beginner with Nuke, but I’ve found it a very friendly and powerful compositing sistem.

I have a few questions (beginner questions, as well), that I think that everyone can answer:

    – when doing any color correction, is it possible to link another external image not contained in the footage channels (a bmp grayscale, for example, created in photoshop), to act as matte for the color correction? I only find the way of doing this using one of the image channels (rgba) but not how to use another image.

    – is there in the program any kind of timeline (like aftereffects’ , for instance) for time manipulations?

    – I can’t load images sequences, even using the load/image/sequence menu. Am I doing something wrong?

Thank you for your answers, and I hope to soon start using this powerful package.
    Thank you guys!
    😉

    1. Yes its possible, you have to copy your matte image to new channel of image you want to color correct (Using Channel copy). Than use this channel as matte for cc. In Nuke you are not limited to 4 RGBA channels per image.

    2. No timeline yet for time manipulation you have to use manip nodes for this.

    3. Strange your sequences should be loaded. I suggest you to use name.####.ext format for your files, but Nuke is capable to load any naming format.
