Hi!
Can I use the z-buffer of a 3d scene to control a blur?
You know what I mean, that the blur is stronger in the far backround and more decent in the nearer objects of the background?thanks,
tallosy

any ideas, how i can combine the strenghth of the blur with the luminance value of my z Buffer sequence?
November 15, 2005 at 11:28 am #211104AnonymousInactiveuse your Z buffer as a matte for an effect layer with blur (ughh… it’s a little bit AE…)

Use the G-Buffer Builder for create the Z-depth of files or use the Compound Blur and use the Z-depth pass as map

you can do it a few different ways. the ones above are true, but this pdf is a more “traditional” (read: old school) way
