Hi all,
I have not been very active in these forums.. as I’ve been out of vfx land for quite a while. I was wondering if any of you know about real time broadcast compositing solutions. (backdrops titles tickers etc.) Preferably low budget solutions but of a good quality above average. I would prefer to do it fully digital on the pc using software tools but the only tool i was suggested by a friend was a wonderful vizrt solution. Unfortunately it looks like something on the very expensive side of the street.
I know there must be other ways. Combining the pc and analog ways probably.
I remember of a great solution for matting using a special ring on the camera radiating a specific light frequency or something on some special cloth/material. But i have forgot the name of the company and the product.
has anyone tried it/knows what I’m talking about? Can this be used real time?
Any suggestions regarding this matter would help a lot.
Thank you in advance.

how could i not check them out. perhaps because in my head i have related them with hi end cinema vfx and not on-air broadcast solutions. It turns out that they have what i need.Actually they have designed a specific machine that uses reflecmedia’s liteRing (which is what i was talking about on my previous post)
