Hello everyone,
I’m having problems with the Fusion 5 PLE. I can’t save or render anything.
I think I’ve done everything right. I’ve added a saver node to the end of the flow and set the render range in the timeline, however:
When I click the green ‘Render’ button, nothing happens;
When I click File->Start Render, nothing happens;
When I click the ‘Save’ disc icon on the toolbar, nothing happens;
When I click File->Save, nothing happens;
When I hit CTRL+S, nothing happens;
When I click File->Save as…, nothing happens.I haven’t changed anything in the preferences.
I thought that the only limitation that the PLE had was a watermark, so I assume I must be doing something wrong. Any ideas?
Many thanks.

Which version are you using, look under Help-> about.
It could be and install problem or permissions issue.There will be a Fusion 5.2 LE version released soon.

I’ve tried it on both my Desktop PC and my laptop, and it doesn’t work on either of them. I’m running XP Pro SP2.
Cheers.

howmuch ram?It should and does work at many studios, so there is not alot to go on for debuging this without more info.
If you wait a week you should be able to download F5.2 LE
August 31, 2007 at 11:21 pm #216046zhang vivaParticipantHere are my system specs:
Desktop PC:
Intel Core 2 Duo 6600
NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT, Driver version: 9.1.4.7
2Gb of RAMLaptop:
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
ATI Mobility radeon 9600, Driver version: 6.14.10.6378
1Gb of RAMI’ll admit, it’s been a while since I updated my drivers, so that could be the problem. I’ll download some new ones and see if that sorts it out. If not, I’ll try 5.2 when it comes out.
Cheers.

I’ve had a same problem and turned out that it was because of the antivirus I was using – back then it was NOD32.
If it’s the case, besides saving and rendering, bet you’ve got problems with Bins… also.
I think just unloading it doesn’t help, uninstalling will.Hope that helps,
Cheers.
September 14, 2007 at 10:50 am #216047zhang vivaParticipantThanks for the info. I’m using nod32 on both machines, so that’s probably what’s causing the problem.
I’m not un-installing it though – it’s the best anti-virus program ever (IMHO).
Hopefully the coding wizards at eyeon will be able to find a way around it.
Thanks again:D .
December 1, 2007 at 8:10 pm #216042NiccolòParticipantI can confirm Node32 is probably the problem. Had issues with it more then once.
And btw you cant make it better with deactivating parts of software only with complete uninstall. -
