Hi All,
Is there a way to change RGB values within the color tab settings? I set the color range to 0-255 then try to manually change the settings and nothing happens. I’m trying to maintain accurate colors from one app to another. Cheers, for any assistance! 😳

which tab do you mean? Are you trying to change the color of your material, or do you want to change the apps’ settings in general?

… now I get what you are trying to do. You want to keep working with values from 0-255 instead of 0-1 or so. Maybe creating a set of “local variables” might help. Unfortunately I am not that great in these things (yet) to help you out with the perfect formula ( if there is one..) Try asking at highend2d.com’s shake-forum,too.
– and tell us how you did it in the end.

If you need to enter RGB values in a 0-255 basis, you can simply write your desired value and divide it by 255.
For example:
You need to input 180 for Red channel, 100 for green and 200 for blue.
Just enter these values in the RGB boxes…
R: 180/255
G: 100/255
B: 200/255Hope that helps.
Thank you for your help! 🙂
January 3, 2005 at 8:59 pm #209150uwe_wiesemannParticipantI guess, that is it. but wouldnt it be 256? For 8 bit?
I tried it with a 50 gray color in a PS RGB image…

January 3, 2005 at 9:17 pm #209151uwe_wiesemannParticipantwell, I meant 50% gray color in my earlier post. 50% gray makes a value of 128 in Photoshop. In shake dividing 128/256 makes a perfekt 0.5.
Also there are 256 possible values from 0-255.
I’d give it a try.
