Hi Everyone..
I’ve posted an update to the CineonDPX package on my website. The update addresses a large number of bugs, and adds a few new features. Here is the short list:
– Export problems with a large number of frames has been fixed.
(long sequences would slow down and hang MacOSX 10.4 systems)
– 50fps is now supported
– Network Licensing is improved.
– YCbCr 32-bit conversions in Compressor are now accurate
– DPX files can now be exported as “native”, “little” or “big” endian.
– ARRI style reelnames are now supported. (ARRI uses the “Device Name” field in the DPX header to store a reelname.)
– ARRI style filename separator can now be used, when exporting frames. Typically a frame is like this: myshot.0000.dpx ARRI tends to use: myshot_0000.dpx
– AJA KONA 3 video out support is now available!!! Woo-hoo!
– Gamma.. I’ve taken a stab at fixing some issues with Gamma and the Mac. Its still an ongoing battle.
– Fixed “range” issues with the Compressor Encoder. v3.0 would always chop off the first frame.
– Improved “endian” handling in the Cineon and DPX spotlight plugins. There is probably a small mountain of bugfixes that I have also repaired, but not listed them here.
While this isn’t a “Red” specific package, it does play well with Red Footage and Workflows. Feel free to post any questions or comments!
Thanks!
