    Heya All!
I am trying to figure out Steve Wright’s color differance matte equations (Digi’ Comp’ for Film and Video), and had some doubts about the way I impliment them in MK Flame. here goes: he is talking about substracting the blue/green Channel, (BS or GS) by the red (usually), and by that pulling a cool looking matte. it works up to a certain level, but I wonder what is the best way of deviding the RGB in MK. I have tried rewiring them in CC nodes, and also MONO nodes, but is that the best way?? besides if I need to recombine them, let say after a despill equation, how do I do it?? with hopes that I was clear enough, I will be happy to get some answers here… 😉

If you do it in Batch instead of inside the MK, you can use the Seperate and Combine nodes to split out / put back together the RGB channels. Have you seen this tip: http://www.fxguide.com/fxtips-28.html?
