    Gurus:

Other than using the Chroma Key method, can anyone tell me how it is possible to pull a Color Difference Key in DF for green screen clip.

I am interested in learning how to get a grey scale image(matte) first, then scaling the matte to get just black and white (background/forground)

    Thank you

    Hi macool,

If you’re using DFX+ then you’ll need mod2. DF has the ultra keyer which is optimized for bluegreen keys as well as a difference keyer. With the difference keyer you need a clean bg plate. Additional matte refinements can be made with a downstream matte control node.

    Cheers,

    hi macool

try with using luma keyer and matte control ….in DF….

Most of the time I use the combination of luma keyer, brightness contrast and the matte control… to get the fine matte….

    Its a good option too…

    it works…reallly welll.

Eric has given u the good brief about difference keyer….try with that..too..

    cool
