As stated in the title, I’m running Combustion 4 along side Max 9 service pack 2 on vista 64-bit. I have been able to get Combustion 4 running in a 32 bit compatibility mode while Max 9 is running as a true 64 bit program. My problem lies in the interactive combustion material in max. I’m able to load the material but I’m receiving this error in the project parameter “Error: Combustion Engine DLL Not Found.” Has anyone encountered this problem before? Any idea’s on what could be messing it up?

you have to manually copy these into the correct directory in max
I forget where and at the moment im on a mac at work so i cant find out exactly where.
hope thats what your looking for.August 6, 2007 at 11:48 pm #215907mohy iziParticipantHey guys thanks for the info. I’ll check the cd and see if there are any dlls in there. I hope its not a path thing.
Thanks

I checked the cds, but found .dlls for older versions of max. I assume that its a 64 bit problem.
This however reveals a new issue. It seems that the 64 bit version cannot render a combustion material from a 32 bit file.
With 2 service packs out I am surprised that this issue hasn’t been addressed yet.
I guess I’ll be using the 64 bit version as needed. Thanks for the information and support guys.
