I’m 90% sure that this is true… I just checked the AD website and combustion was removed from their effect/compositing section… The last combustion release was in early 2005. I’m so disappointed by AD; Shame on AD!!!….

http://www.autodesk.co.uk/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=452932&id=6909145
Secondly, if your banks website goes down it does not mean its bankrupt.
They could be updating it for Combustion2008.

We’re hoping it eventually gets on a regular development schedule that allows for it to be in the chase with the other desktop solutions. I really would like to most of time in one compositor where possible.

Most notable is the colour warper running inside the 2008 version. It’s alive for another release. Don’t fly the flag at half mast just yet!

December 13, 2007 at 4:29 am #216292JoshuaParticipantThis might help, The Autodesk web site s still showing quiet a bit of old C4 Stuff. But this link http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=10178588 will point you in the direction of the 2008 trial version.
I have noticed that Autodesk have now watermarked the viewport with an X that renders. Gone it seems are the days that you could play while you waited for your upgrade to arrive in the post & enter your serial number etc…….. without having to reinstall or overwrite the demo.

I have noticed that Autodesk have now watermarked the viewport with an X that renders to output. (I have not installed the demo for that very reason) Gone it seems are the days that you could play while you waited for your upgrade to arrive in the post & enter your serial number etc…….. without having to reinstall or overwrite the demo.
