    hi,

configuration of combustion? To do what kind of work?
Generally, if you have large file size, you could use proxies. If you then work with a display quality other than “best”, the lower rez footage is used.
that brings me to the first step, lower the display quality to speed up respondsiveness. when working with particles, you better change to opengl mode.that is, if you have a certified video card. otherwise, no guarantee to work glitch-free.
hardwarewise, you need a lot of ram and a fast proc, then a fast video card, then fast harddrives.

    hi
i think RAM and Graphic board is the importance
and Gary M Davis an expert in C* suggest me 2 gigs RAM and no less
and for OPENGL Quadro will be okay

    hope it helps

    Hi..

If you want to configure and build your own
Combustion Workstation, then get the hardware
specs right from Discreet at this link here………..

There are some tips and hints posted here at FXGuide —
(Note that some of the info is already over a year old)
but there is lots of some inside tips and stuff that is still valid..
Look under the Tips and Tricks section, see this link here:
