Hi guys,
Hopefully I can ask this question as concisely as possible without confusing anyone. I have been taking a position track (walking_tracked) and influencing it via a scaler dummy axis (walking_scaled). The expression I add to my positional track is as follows: (walking_tracked.position.x)*(walking_scaled_position.x ) That way, when the walking_scaled x position is set to 0, nothing happens; when it is set to 1 the walking_tracked position is at full effect. You can effectively ease in and out of the track and back to a flat line that does nothing. You can incrementally add shake or whatever type of noise or movement you like; it is a nice level of control.
My question is, can I apply the same level of control to the scaling channel? I have a scaling channel where someone is walking towards something and I have tracked the scale in the plate. is there a way to ease into this walking plate so it looks like the person has started walking from a standing start. I need the starting point to be 100% scale but then based on a slider (or whatever) the curve gets affected so that the scale gets bigger (or smaller). I can multiply the scale channel by a number from 0-1 but then the curve starts to fall away from 100. I need a way of having control so that at one end of the spectrum, the scale sits at 100% and then as I change values, the curve starts to deform towards the original scale channel. Has anyone ever tried to do something like this, I feel like it shouldnt be too hard but I would need a slightly better grasp of mathematics to solve this one myself.
thanks for reading, any input much appreciated….
cheers,
Jules. -
