I have large 4k linear scans from a client. What is the best way in Nuke to downrez them to ProRes4444 files for color correction? I want to gamma encode them to retain bit depth in all the important places correct? Is it as simple as importing the shots and setting the input to linear and the output to Rec709? Are there issues with writing to Quicktime files with Nuke? I feel like every time I bring in a Quicktime it never looks the same on the way back out.
