Hey guys/gals,
Stepping into Action and using the crop tool it will automatically update as you continue to crop. I noticed in Batch that when im in the Action module that the crop will not automatically update as you continue to crop. Is there a way to make it do this without guessing where the crop will land. Again this only happens when accessing the Action module when in Batch. Thanks in advance.

Ya its strange and could be a bug. Im running version 9.5.8 and have 2007 sitting here, but dont have any ambition to load it yet till its bugless. LOL The crop thing sucks, but ole well I guess, just wasnt sure if I was tripping or something. LOL
March 1, 2007 at 1:14 am #215093Saran SirikasamsapParticipantbugless ?? hmmm lemme open the bible and check revelations …..dude!!! it will never be bugless!! but even though i dont have flame on linux here…from what im reading on this site and flame news it seems to be loaded with small-to-major nagging issues huh ?

Are you talking about the fact that changing crop values in the animation channel doesn’t update the result view? Because try that holding the “q” hotkey and I think you have what you want ! 😀
Hope this helps

March 1, 2007 at 1:29 am #215088Saran SirikasamsapParticipantok this is interesting..if i keep “q” depressed it doesnt work, but if i press “q” once and release, then it updates realtime…brilliant

I should have explained that it’s to temporarily simulate the Regen ON.

March 1, 2007 at 3:57 am #215081AnonymousGuestFirst off I must be logged in as two different user names. LOL What I really meant was I am in no rush for 2007 with the current issues that are associated with 2007. I will try the q theory and see what happens. Lame if you ask me.

Lame if you ask me.I don’t understand “Lame if you ask me.” ? Do you think it’s a poor workaround?
The idea behind not having the channel editor changes displayed in the result right away unless you have “Regen ON” or that you temporarily use “q” is that the interaction between your change and the update in the result could be really slow if your Batch tree is complex, if you see a context point later in the process tree… meanwhile in Action, it has less chance to be the case.
As for the “q” hotkey, I guess at that time, the product specialist decided that “q” could be the magical hotkey (“q” when manipulating Gmask control points for “Autotangent”, “q” in the animation track view to move the keyframes without scaling the animation…) No seriously, a lot of keys are already set and a very limited number are free…Hopefully, for the 2007 version issues you’re talking about, we’re about to launch SP3 really soon and it fixes a lot of these “forums’bugs”.

March 1, 2007 at 3:02 pm #215091Saran SirikasamsapParticipantsp1,2,3 are only for linux versions right ? what about irix versions ? is version 10 coming out in april ?

Sp3 is coming in a near future and fixes for both linux and Irix will be available.
