hi guys.
i have one question and a big trouble to resolve this problem.
a 3d departmente want to give me a 3d data, like a 3d tracking, from cinema 4d
and i want to import it into shake 4.
it’s possible?!
how can I do it?
thanks for any suggestion.Mio

but…..
It needs to be a Maya camera, so if the 3D dep. are using pfTrack, boujou, or equalizer etc… then they can export a Maya camera for you so you can use it in shake. Then you can use the pt. cloud data to attach your elements etc… and use the various xyz controls to tweak or place elsewhere wihin your camera space. (remember to lock your BG camera to the new camera, should you wish to place a FG element within the space).
If in doubt, read shake’s multiplane doc’s : )
The multiplane node does work wonders though….
Enjoy

i’ve seen a video tutorial about 3d compositing
for shake in combination with a 3d camera data.
I think to solve this problem using a boujou data in i will import it
and i should to try some work.
but i would like to know, just for curiosity, why shake does’t import for other 3d software, like cinema or lightwave!?
i had tried to import a 3d data from matchmover.
when I import or when I open a shake script saved from matchmover in both case there are some error.
I would like to spent a few days to resolve and fix these problems.November 28, 2006 at 9:25 pm #214553Renato VillarroelParticipanthi…
i’m came back… 🙂
i’ve had imported a 3d data into shake.
a 3d artist had done a tracking with matchmover and saved it in maya camera.
but now i have a problem with a Z control and Pan control.
when i see my object into a scene tracked, the result it’s bad.
i have more trouble to resolve this problem.
when I import a camera data from boujou I don’t have these problem.
but when I want to try a same work this problem it’s came out.
any suggestion!?
