    Hi guys !

    An infographist made an holgram effect on a picture that I need to import and use in Nuke.
    First, I tried to export all the anim in a tiff sequence, with alpha embeded in the pics. But in Nuke the Alpha was strange and don’t match with the alpha in After.
    So I export both channels separately (first I export RGB then the Alpha, and I put Alpha with my RGB in Nuke with a Copy node).
    When I do that, alpha and RGB in Nuke and in After are strictly the same.
    But when I merge my tiff sequence coming from AE on my complete scene in Nuke, the result is not the same than in AE.

    I think that After Effects just don’t do the same premultiplication than Nuke.
    Is there a way to have the same render in After and Nuke, or do I need to try many settings on my alpha in Nuke to find the best way to match bost renders ?

    hi

    when rendering out of after effects, in the render dialogue change it from premult to straight. this will render out the fill rgb un premultiplied whilst still keeping the alpha channel so saves you from doing 2 renders and then having to use the nuke copy node.

    when rendering from nuke, divide the fill by the alpha and use this as your rgb, then copy the alpha into the alpha channel if it doesnt already exist there. this should then go into afx and work when you set intrpretate as premult on import.
