Hi,
I hope it’s ok for me to create this thread.
I’m trying to write a proposal to a potential client on creating Digital Doubles at feature quality standards.
Based on my experience which is working for about 10 years full time as a freelance cg generalist specializing more in character animation. I also rig, model, texture, render and composite.
I spent a year creating a 2 min short that had a cg cartoon character over live action plates with sub surface scattering and multiple passes from renders lit by hdr’s I shot on set( sorry I can’t show it due to legal stuff).
This doesn’t make me an expert by any means in digital doubles that’s why I’m posting my proposal here to have someone with more experience pick it apart. I put in my cost based off of man hours it would take me approx. Then I also have a breakdown showing what I think the job would entail. This is what my calculations are only. I’ve also watch dozens of behind the scenes from features that used digital doubles and I’m also using the below article to try and understand more about the processes.
