Discuss the Date Rollover Problem here. Once you’ve installed the fix, please share your experience.
September 30, 2004 at 4:32 pm #208779AnonymousGuestFYI – I just downloaded the patch and PDF instructions and installed on two machines (Onyx2 and Tezro running 5.52 Inferno / 8.52 Flame – both on 6.5.23). Install was easy following step by step instructions in the PDF.

inferno 4.7.4 on Onyx2,Onyx IR Rack and Onyx IR Deskside (IRIX 6.5.16)

September 30, 2004 at 11:53 pm #208780AnonymousGuestWe have added the fix here locally to my inferno/Onyx 2.
There are now bug fixes for all versions of the software.
It is also working with the next version of the release code – which is just coming out of beta.
For those of who want to know more we’ll be doing a Q&A with Discreet tomorrow – where we’ll try and find out more behind the mysterious date problem.

When applying the patch the inferno on Onyx2 gave the message
“driver not found for ide device”
before the usual barrage of messages. It doesn’t effect the system though…

November 12, 2009 at 1:22 pm #208786Ian MaplesonParticipantSorry for bumping an old thread…
I have an Effect O2 which is suffering from this issue. Does anyone have the patch archive files
for Effect on O2 please? I can’t find them anywhere.Rough guess, perhaps the file name would be something like, “effect603_o2_w_rolloverfix.tar”?
Thanks!!
Ian.
