What is the easiest way to author material exported from Inferno?
November 15, 2005 at 3:43 pm #211112Andy MilkisParticipantIf you are running inferno 6.5, try setting up cleaner xl. You can export MPEG 2 DVD files directly to cleaner from inferno’s image export menu.
The installation was quite straightforward, and all you need is one windows pc to set up a minimal system. You have to purchase cleaner XL, although you do get a free 15 day license when you install.

Encode frames with cleaner
Import your new mpeg2 file into a dvd authoring app and author.
I use Adobe Encore (PC) and DVD Studio Pro (MAC) for authoring. They both work great. You could also get a Pioneer PRV-LX1 and output the material via sdi and crash record. It also works well, but not good for menu design. Check it out here…

I’d export the clip as Quicktime Animation with audio, move it to a mac and create the DVD with iDVD.
