Hi all –
I was wondering what the normal process was when exporting cameras / footage from PFTrack to 3ds max / aafter effects?
The main issue that I am having right now is that in pf track the clip distorts itself obviously when you use the undistort node so I need some way of getting this distorted footage into max / AE for comping because as of right now it’s not lining up with the original footage that we started with.
I see the ‘clip export’ portion of the export node but there is no quality settings in there so it spits out a really really compressed version of the clip.
Any insight would be appreciated.
Cheers.

The idea behind the output sequences would be to have an undistorted (low res) sequence to use as a backplate while working within your 3d package of choice.
For instance when you’re checking your track within Maya.
You wouldn’t generally use the sequence in your renders. The pfBarrel node from The Pixel Farm is what you use IN POST (e.g., within Nuke), to distort or undistort your 3d render or plate. Normally you’re affecting your 3d render with the Distort function to fit onto your plate.hope this had some buoyancy…
cheers,
