FCP 4.5 dropping frames

    I used to run FCP 4 under Jaguar and it run fine. I upgraded to Panther and it started to drop frames for everything making it impossible to capture, playback or to print it to video. I’m only working in DV.

    Here are my comp specs
    G4 867mhz, 1,12 Gb RAM, 60GB HD with 16GB free, Nvidia geforce 2mx 32mb

    Is there anything I can do?
