What file type and codec in Nuke is the best to keep the quality of the images and sequences and use it as a source to create DVD, Quicktime, online reel (vimeo). For editing I will use Premiere.
Thank you!
Well depending on what you want to do with you files. EXR’s are great. They have many channels that you can store, they can also store HDR information, 32bit float and are actually smaller then tiffs or targas. If you only need RGBA then I have always used PNG sequences, these are incredibly small and are a lossless format.
I would use TIFF files for image sequences with LZW or RLE compression because that’s read by most programs. But that’s a personal preference of course. The important thing is that you use a lossless format.
