Anyone have any experience with Silicon Color’s Final Touch software. I’m evaulating some different software/hardware solutions for finishing HD and 2K. At this point I’m open to any suggestions. We use Final Cut Pro for our offline and online stuff right now but we’re looking to step up to the next level.
Thanks,In this category there are a number of really good tools. The top dogs being Lustre and BaseLight. NuCoda have a great tool, but like the Lustre and BaseLight…Pricey !!
We’ve had a look at Final Touch…Whilst it has most of the relevant tools and works in the correct bit depths…It’s EXTREMELY SLOW. Currently, this seems to be a hardware issue on the Macs….Although, I have not tried it on the dual core machines with the NVidia FX 4500 card…Which by the way the the Display card used in Lustre and Baselight and all the others…
A really good medium priced solution that we’ve just evaluated is Assimilate system…Scratch… Not as cheap as Final Touch but not out of reach for serious work.
