Clip corruption has long been a problem with Flame. With just about every other project I have a clip or two that becomes ‘corrupt.’ By that I mean that everytime I do some sort of gestural edit with this clip, flame will crash. Then I must trace back the roots of corrupted clip (assuming the faulty clip is a soft clip), which can take quite some time. I have experienced this with almost every version of Flames since 4.0, and across five different systems.
Is there any easy way to find the source of the corruption, and is there a way to prevent the corruption to begin with, as I have not had this issue on non Discreet systems?
Making a new project and a new user, as support usually suggests, does not really address the issue at hand.
Thanks

Obviously I’d really like to see the source of corruption fixed. But in the meantime, it would be great to have a diagnostic tool to go through the framestore and let you know what clips(s) is(are) corrupted. And this would help when corruption might be caused by a power hit or a crash during saving or something….things that are pretty unpredictable and hard to figure out.
Right now, you have to load one desktop at a time until you find the bad clip. Then load one reel at a time. Then load each clip to narrow down the faulty one. This can take considerable time…..
