Does anyone out there run a newish monitor on the SGI Octaine 2, at the moment we`ve got the old SGI CRT which is bigger than a car!!, we need to move this older Flint somewhere else and we’re looking for a flatscreen LCD to replace it. I know there’s a sync issue with some screens as the Flint seems to display 50htz and 52htz!! Just wondering if anyone has used another monitor for this and what it is!!
Thanks for you help!November 27, 2007 at 5:39 pm #216328Piotr KolusParticipantThe new systems use an Eizo CE-240W-DI, the DI is very important. Check out the specs on Eizo’s webpage. Can’t think of a reason why this wouldn’t work.

Although, coming to think of it, how do you set modelines in Irix …. ?
Found this via google, hope it helps.
