Hello there,
recently got a Flint ver 5.5 running on an Indigo2. An Oldie, but does it’s job properly.
The system works great, and I get excellent video out when I play clips from the desktop (with “play to video”).
Problems is, “play to video” is the only way I can get decent video out from the machine. When outputting graphics (the software interface) , I get a really bad signal – it’s black and white and very jittery, jumping up/down and generally unusable.
I tried using the VCP from the /usr/sbin and the “video output tool” produces the same result.
Tried using the “Setmon” command with all kinds of options, but no luck.
Has anybody encountered this problem before?
I am outputting to a SONY PVM14 monitor for video out. The signal is routed throgh an AJA SDI-Composite converter since the monitor has no SDI inputs. I am not using a Sync generator, but I get good video out from flint so I think that’s not the issue.
Sorry for the long thread, but I really want to get this thing solved.
I would really appreciate any thought and comments on this issue.
Thanks.
