any schedule for NAB 2006 yet? I’m trying to arrange my flights with the admin folks…
Will Edit topics be first again this year?January 27, 2006 at 8:05 am #211702AnonymousGuestAfter much debate, we have decided to not do fxguide live this year…
But wait –
We will be doing it on the web instead, so we will have a suite/studio at NAB and we will do it as a … well I can’t give away all the surprises (!)
But I can say we are insanely excited – plus we can now get to all the fxguide people who could not attend before from all over the USA and the rest of the world.fxguide has been growing a lot in the last few years and this last year alone we more than doubled in size. First there was just the site, then fxguide live, the dvds and then the podcasts, now with fxblog … and this new move will take us to the next level.
We are really commited to you guys and we are extremely excited about what we have planned. We are also working with our good friends at discreet (Autodesk) and the other manufacturers such as Apple, Eyeon, Adobe – more than ever before. I don’t think anyone will be disappointed. 😉
For those of you in LA : we are hosting a special Foundry: Furnace + Fxguide event at the end of Feb. We’ll have a story up next week but email us if you’d be interested in more info. This will be a one day seminar showing cool tricks and tips on flame – toxik – shake and other platforms with the new Furnace 3 plugins.
The Furnace tools are ultra cool image processing plugins that really extend your toolbox and we have managed too get the Foundry to help host a special LA event in about a month. This should be really cool – and most of the fxguide crew will be flying in for the event. More on this next week.Mike
